Data checks
When the data could mean two things, glasstarn asks instead of guessing. Here is what it checks and what your choices do.
Why glasstarn asks
Section titled “Why glasstarn asks”Some choices change what the numbers mean. glasstarn never picks one quietly. It shows you the evidence and lets you choose, so a finding is never built on a guess.
You see these choices in two places: your agent asks you in the chat, and, when there is something to decide, the browser shows a Data checks page in the left menu. After you choose there, select Apply decisions and analyze.
What it checks
Section titled “What it checks”| Check | Example | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Date order | Is 03/05/2026 the 3rd of May or the 5th of March? |
Read the wrong way, steps land in the wrong order |
| Duplicate rows | The same step for the same item at the same moment, twice | Counted twice, a step looks more common than it is |
| Missing times | A step with no date | It cannot be placed in the history |
| Steps at the same moment | Two steps recorded in the same second | Their order cannot be told from the time alone |
| Records that do not fit | An invoice that points to an order nobody exported | It may be real, or it may be a broken export |
Your choices
Section titled “Your choices”For records that do not fit, you usually have three options:
- Leave them out and list them. The analysis runs on the rest, and the ones left out appear as a finding, so nothing disappears silently.
- Keep them as they are, when they are real.
- Ask for a corrected export, when the export itself was wrong.
Your answers are saved in the project. Next time you refresh the data, only new questions come back.
Cleaning up step names
Section titled “Cleaning up step names”You can also ask your agent to rename or merge steps (“treat Approve and Approved as one step”), leave out steps you do not care about, or leave out items that never finished. These rules are saved in the project and never change your original file.
