Salesforce

Pull leads, opportunities and cases straight from Salesforce with your approval, or work from exports.

glasstarn can pull records from Salesforce for you, with your approval each time. You can also put exports you made yourself in your folder.

Pull it directly (recommended). Your agent works out which objects and history to pull and shows you exactly what it will fetch. You approve it in the browser view, and glasstarn downloads the records straight into the project. The records never pass through the chat.

This uses Salesforce’s own command line tool (Salesforce CLI) and your normal Salesforce login. Your agent helps you set it up the first time. Your password is never stored by glasstarn.

Use exports. Export the objects listed below as CSV, for example with Data Loader or a report, and put the files in your folder.

Salesforce only keeps the history of fields that have field history tracking switched on, such as lead status, opportunity stage, case status and owner. glasstarn can only show the steps Salesforce recorded. History that was never tracked cannot be recovered.

If tracking is off for a field you care about, ask your Salesforce admin to switch it on. You will see the history from that day forward.

I’d like to analyse our sales process with glasstarn. Please give me a read-only login that can see Leads, Opportunities and their history, with Bulk API access. Please also confirm that field history tracking is on for Lead Status, Opportunity Stage, Amount, Close Date and Owner.

  • Your company’s own status and stage names are used as step names.
  • Custom fields work. Tell your agent which ones matter, such as region or product line.
  • To link Salesforce with an ERP, such as opportunities to SAP sales orders, include the ERP order number field. See Linked records.
